Off to Rome!

Participants at a previous General Chapter with
the Servant of God, Pope John Paul II.
This evening the rector of our seminary, Fr. Michael, along with two other confreres, Frs. Hector and Nicholas, from Lodi and the Philippines respectively, will be leaving for Rome. There they will participate in the Order's 61st General Chapter, where they will discuss the various aspects of the life of the C.R.M., as well as elect a new Father General. Please keep them and all of the Adorno Fathers in your prayers, asking God that His will be done during this time of change and renewal.

First Professions

Two novices from our seminary in the Philippines professed their first vows on Pentecost Sunday last week. Brs. Noly and Giovanni are the first to do so since the opening of the Order's Philippine foundation in 2002. The celebrations began with a solemn Mass within which Noly and Giovanni professed the four vows of poverty, chastity, obedience and of not seeking ecclesiastical dignities. After the Eucharistic celebration a statue of St. Francis Caracciolo was solemnly blessed and a reception held with the many guests that were in attendance. We congratulate our new brothers as they enter into the religious life and pray that God brings to completion the work he has begun in them.

Happy Feast Day

This past Monday, June 5, our order worldwide celebrated the feast of one of our Father Founders, St. Francis Caracciolo. His feast falls normally on the 4th of June, however this year June 4 fell on Pentecost Sunday, which takes precedence over our humble St. Francis, and so we celebrated the following day. Here at Ramsey, Holy Mass was offered in his honor, while in our Seminary in the Philippines a much more historic celebration took place: The first profession of vows of Brs. Noli and Giovanni, the first fruits of our Philippine foundation (Hopefully pictures from the ceremony will soon follow). We congratulate our newly professed brothers and pray, through the intercession of St. Francis Caracciolo, that they continue in his footsteps to serve God and His Church.
Prayer in Honor of St. Francis
O God, you have manifested your love in the priest, St. Francis Caracciolo, by making him an adorer of the eucharist, a preacher of your divine love and an apostle to the poor, the sick and the sinners. Grant we beseech thee, that we may imitate his love for Jesus in the Eucharist and spare no effort to work for the salvation of our brothers and sisters, always for the greater glory of the Risen Christ. Through the intercession of St. Francis, we ask you to inspire many young men and women to follow Christ totally in a spirit of prayer, penance and zeal for the building of your kingdom on earth. Amen.
